Miss World Kenya 2019 Crowned


Maria Wavinya,18, has been crowned Miss World Kenya 2019 at a star-studded ceremony held at the Two Rivers Mall in Nairobi on Saturday 5 October 2019.

 The ceremony was attended by Margaret Kobia, Cabinet Secretary Ministry of Public Service, Youth and Gender Affairs, her Chief Administrative Secretary Rachael Shebesh as well as Devolution Principal Secretary Josephta Mukobe.


There were performances by Khaligraph Jones and Moji Short Baba with comedian Obinna and Angela Muiruri comparing the event.

Maria will now enjoy a year of appearances in her new role and will represent Kenya along with 130 contestants from around the world at the three-week festival and 69th Miss World Final in London.


The highly-anticipated Miss World final show will be broadcast globally to over 150 countries, where global fans can watch reigning Miss World, Vanessa Ponce de León, pass the crown to the 69th Miss World.
