Miss World Bangladesh 2019 Crowned


Rafah Nanjeba Torsa, 20, from Chittagong has been crowned Miss World Bangladesh 2019 at the grand finale held at Pan Pacific Sonargaon Dhaka Hotel in the capital on Friday 11 October.


Torsa, currently studying international relations at the University of Chittagong, said: “When I heard my name being announced as the winner, I was speechless. With so many talented girls vying for the crown, I never imagined I would be crowned the winner. I am looking forward to representing my country in the upcoming Miss World competition in London.”

The final round was judged by a panel of judges that included film stars Ferdous Ahmed and Arifa Parvin Moushumi, beauty expert Farnaz Alam, Miss World Singapore 2018 Vanessa Peh and Miss World Bangladesh 2018 Jannatul Ferdous Oishi who also crowned her successor on stage during the coronation.


She will now enjoy a year of appearances in her new role and will represent Bangladesh along with 130 contestants from around the world at the three-week festival and 69th Miss World Final in London.

The highly-anticipated Miss World final show will be broadcast globally to over 150 countries, where global fans can watch reigning Miss World, Vanessa Ponce de León, pass the crown to the 69th Miss World.
