Miss World Puerto Rico 2019 Crowned

Daniella Rodríguez, 21, from Bayamón has been crowned Miss Mundo Puerto Rico 2019 (Miss World Puerto Rico 2019).

This year’s contest followed a new format that consisted of getting the candidates to compete in five mini-competitions. These included, Talent, Sport, Top Model, Best Body and Beauty with Purpose during a television programme that broadcast for eight consecutive weeks by ABC Puerto Rico. The final was broadcast on Facebook Live.

Crowned by Miss Mundo Puerto Rico 2018, Dayanara Martínez Rosado, Daniella said: “I did not expect it. I am grateful to all the people who supported me from the beginning, who believed in me, they saw that potential in me, really, thank you! I will give everything of myself to win that crown and I will continue giving everything for everything.”

But more important to me is to continue working with my ‘Beauty With A Purpose’ project. I will work with 'Project 1 to 1', which is focused on improving the quality of life and health of children with cancer.”

Daniella studies at marketing West Chester University in Pennsylvania and one day would like to become an entrepreneur of beauty products.

She will now enjoy a year of appearances in her new role and will represent Puerto Rico along with 130 contestants from around the world at the three-week festival and 69th Miss World Final in London.

The highly-anticipated Miss World final show will be broadcast globally to over 150 countries, where global fans can watch reigning Miss World, Vanessa Ponce de León, pass the crown to the 69th Miss World.
