Miss World Bulgaria 2019 Crowned

Margo Cooper, 26, from Sofia has been crowned Miss World Bulgaria 2019. The glamorous ceremony held at the Ramada Hotel in Sofia on Wednesday 25 September was broadcast by three national television stations, TV1, Evrokom and BulgareTV.

The journalism graduate from the Moscow State University said: “I would like to thank all of the people who supported me. For me, it was a long way to reach this status and to be able to talk about things that really matter. I learned how to win the hard way, by failing, loosing and overcoming. It’s crucially important for me to become a personal example of a self-made woman of a new generation, who stands up proudly, whose voice counts, who is strong, active, and who can change the world.”

Margo works as a life coach and dreams of studying psychology at Oxford University. Her purpose is to support and to help people with their mental health issues worldwide and has already visited 50 countries and intends to keep travelling.

She will now enjoy a year of appearances in her new role and will represent Bulgaria along with 130 contestants from around the world at the three-week festival and 69th Miss World Final in London.

The highly-anticipated Miss World final show will be broadcast globally to over 150 countries, where global fans can watch reigning Miss World, Vanessa Ponce de León, pass the crown to the 69th Miss World.
