Miss World Brazil 2019 Crowned

Elís Miele, 20, from Espirito Santo was crowned Miss Mundo Brasil 2019 (Miss World Brazil 2019) on September 3 2019, at Dall’Onder Grande Hotel, in Bento Gonçalves, Rio Grande do Sul. She was crowned on stage by her predecessor Miss World Brazil 2018 Jessica Carvalho.

On her crowning, Elís said: “I still can’t believe I have been crowned Miss Brazil Mundo 2019. Those who know me closely know how much I struggled to get here, so it’s such an honour for me to represent my country at Miss World. This will be my first trip abroad, and I am so excited. Thank you all.”

Through ‘Beauty With A Purpose’ Elís is now the ambassador for the fight against leprosy in the country and will champion a project related to breast cancer.

Elís is the 49thwoman from her country to compete in Miss World and is keeping her fingers crossed that she can follow in the footsteps of Lucia Petterle from Brazil, who was crowned Miss World in 1971.

She will now enjoy a year of appearances in her new role and will represent Brazil along with 130 contestants from around the world at the three-week festival and 69th Miss World Final in London.

The highly-anticipated Miss World final show will be broadcast globally to over 150 countries, where global fans can watch reigning Miss World, Vanessa Ponce de León, pass the crown to the 69th Miss World.
