Miss World Tanzania 2019 Crowned


Sylvia Sebastian was crowned Miss World Tanzania 2019 on 23 August at the lovely Millenium Tower, Dar es Salaam, by her predecessor, Queen Elizabeth Makune.

The coronation was attended by a guest of honour; The Minister of information Sports culture and Arts . Honorable Dr Harrison Mwakwembe.


With 20 finalist from all over Tanzania representing their regions, the results were as follows:

1st Runner Up: Queen Mugesi Ainory

2nd Runner UP: Queen Anthony Magese

Hailing from Mwanza, Sylvia is a sixth-year graduate, studying a computer course at the VETA Technical Education Authority.

Sylvia said: "I am delighted to have this wonderful opportunity.”

Sylvia will now enjoy a year of appearances in her new role and will represent Tanzania along with 130 contestants from around the world at the three-week festival and 69th Miss World Final.

The highly-anticipated Miss World final show will be broadcast globally to over 150 countries, where global fans can watch reigning Miss World, Vanessa Ponce de León, pass the crown to the 69th Miss World.
