Miss World Haiti 2019 Crowned


Alysha Morency succeeds Stephanie Morency as Miss World Haiti 2019. The national final was held on August 3rd at Le Villate in Petion-Ville, Port-au-Prince, where eight contestants competed for the crown.


'We Want Change' was the competition's theme. The three major initiatives that contestants were involved in were protection of the environment, based at Wynn Farm, a beach clean up in partnership with 4Ocean at Côte des Arcadins and child sponsorship. Miss World Haiti Organisation spokesperson, Anedie Azael states, "Miss World Haiti wants to celebrate the beauty and intelligence of Haitian youth but also help change perceptions to reflect a positive image of the country."

Alysha is a 25 year old model, actress and publicist. Furthermore, she is a fashion designer, with a degree in Fashion and enjoys singing.


She will now enjoy a year of appearances in her new role and will represent Haiti, along with 130 contestants from around the world, at the three-week festival and 69th Miss World Final.

The highly-anticipated Miss World final show will be broadcast globally to over 150 countries, where global fans can watch reigning Miss World, Vanessa Ponce de León, pass the crown to the 69th Miss World.
