Miss World South Sudan 2019 Crowned


Mariah Nyayeina was crowned at a glittering coronation held in South Sudan’s capital city, Juba on 21 July 2019.

As a student of International Business at Stafford University, Juba, Maria would like to use her crown to fight for a better environment focusing on plastic waste management and pollution.

Mariah said: “I am so happy upon receiving my crown as Miss World South Sudan, and more than ready to represent my country.


I will continue with what I had started in as far as securing a safe environment for all concerned and my crown shall be used to create awareness about the environment”

Mariah will now enjoy a year of appearances in her new role and will represent South Sudan along with 130 contestants from around the world at the three-week festival and 69th Miss World Final.

The highly-anticipated Miss World final show will be broadcast globally to over 150 countries, where global fans can watch reigning Miss World, Vanessa Ponce de León, pass the crown to the 69th Miss World.
