Miss World Trinidad and Tobago 2019 Crowned


Tya Jane Ramey was crowned Miss World Trinidad and Tobago 2019 on Sunday 16 June at the grand ceremony held at the Naparima Bowl, San Fernando

The 21-year-old National Athlete recently completed her degree in social work and social policies. Since the age of 15, she has represented Trinidad and Tobago in volleyball and basketball.

A master at playing the saxophone and a fabulous dancer Tya was also the winner of the talent segment at the national final.


Tya will now enjoy a year of appearances in her new role and will represent Trinidad and Tobago along with 130 contestants from around the world at the three-week-long festival and 69th Miss World Final. Trinidad and Tobago first won the prestigious title when Giselle LaRonde was crowned Miss World 1986 but the country is yet to bag a second title.

The highly-anticipated Miss World final show will be broadcast globally to over 150 countries, where global fans can watch reigning Miss World, Vanessa Ponce de León, pass the crown to the 69th Miss World.
