Miss World Italy 2019 Crowned


Adele Sammartino was crowned Miss World Italy 2019 on Saturday 15 June at the glittering event held at the Teatro Italia in Gallipoli, which was broadcast live on Donna TV.

23-year-old Adele is a Psychologist from Pompei and her big dream in life is to become a criminologist or a specialist in clinical psychology.


After the crowning, she said: "I dedicate this win to my mother and my father who has always motivated me to face the challenge of Miss Mondo Italia with light-heartedness but also with the right attitude."

The spectacular event was hosted by Miss World Italy 2000 Giorgia Palmas, first runner up in Miss World 2000 to Priyanka Chopra, and Italian swimmer Filippo Magnini who was twice World Champion in the 100 meters freestyle.

Adele will now enjoy a year of appearances in her new role and will represent Italy along with 130 contestants from around the world at the three-week festival and 69th Miss World Final.

The highly-anticipated Miss World final show will be broadcast globally to over 150 countries, where global fans can watch reigning Miss World, Vanessa Ponce de León, pass the crown to the 69th Miss World.
